Restoration work at the El Paso Plaza Theatre has begun to focus on the main auditorium. The new stage box is nearing completion and crews are now working on the wiring for the auditorium. Miles of cable were being strung for a new audio board and for the new stage lighting. Decorative plaster work has also moved to the auditorium where works was underway on the proscenium arch area two stories above the stage.
